setup/ tankmates question please help

i will be setting up 2 tanks, a 30 gallon and a 55 gallon. i was wondering how i should split up the fish i have. I have 1 female jack dempsey (about 4.5") 2 oscars (5") 2 pleco (4" and 9") and a puffer (4") how should i split these up between the 55 and 30 gallon tanks. I also plan on getting a male jack dempsey to possibly breed with the feemale. and some differ fish to make schools, not sure what kind yet, any ideas??

Get rid of the 2 oscars and large pleco. Keep the 2 jd and small pleco in the 55g. And the puffer in the 30g. Which species of puffer do you have.

so now its 2 jd, 2 oscars, i large pleco, one small pleco

not trying to be funny m8 but have you never thought of buying a bigger tank to house them all together and use your little tanks as quarantine tanks for when you buy new fish or maybe even diff kinds of fish. Its just a thought u might want to think over

bigger tanks are out of the question for now...but yes ive thought of it and in a room our size in a dorm where were only technically aloud a 10 gallon tank.... i dont think so....

hey thanks for the pics. my o is the black one and he has lost his color like that too? why do they do that? stress? or that they are getting bigger?
