Severum colors

So i want to know how many different colors severums come in and what the patterns are, if you guys could post pictures of ur severums thatdb great
 
im not trying to be rude, but have you tried looking? on the first page of the SA/CA media forum is an entire thread of pictures of peoples severums, 125pages worth

yea i checked there, and i checked google... im just trying to look for a difinitive answer, and how many colors do they come solid in? if any
 
why are you worried about the number of colors they come in why dont you just find one that appeals to you then find a vendor and purchase one

thanks man, i appreciate it.... i posted this thread because i looked in multiple places prior to this and couldnt find the answer i was looking for, so i cam to you guys, who knows more about severums then yall.
 
I don't think you will get a deffinate number. There are currently 4 described species (H. efasciatus, H. notatus, H. severus, H. spurius), two undescribed species (H. sp. 'Rotkeil', H. sp. 'Atabapo'), two man made color forms (gold, red) and an uncounted number of local variants of the existings species, especially greens (H. efasciatus). A couple of the well known green variants include Turquoise and Tapajos red heads, but each river has slightly differant colorations ranging from brown to green to blue.
