Severum Community

I'm starting a Severum community in my 220 with a couple large peaceful predators. Gar n Clown knife, maybe a medium size cat. Well anyway I just want to see everyone's Severum Communities to give me some ideas! Thanks!!!

so i saw in a thread your looking for a gold sev, i'm trying to sell mine but i live in cleveland :/ and i dont wanna drive too far. it's about 6 inches, fat, and shows red though out its body.

I see, well you can get them fairly cheap at a smaller size, like $6.
mine is about a year old and always begging for food!

Nice!!! I have a gold that is wel over a year old and he has grown to about 4" and is not thick and bulky like my other ones IDK why...

Hey been noticing lately my " breeding pairs" of Rotkiels and Greens have been lip locking with each other..... Is this fighting or breeding?

I ask because there is no real decor to fight over territories n they have only been doing it with their " partners"

how many sev's do you have, i'm no expert on this subject but b/c they're cichlids, they fight.
i use to have 2 young oscars that fought all the time, i catch them lip lock'n alot before i gave them away.
mayby get some dither fish in your tank so they'll chase those instead?

I have 2 Rotkiels and 2 greens and I have 2 Bala sharks and a Florida gar. No one bothers anyone but I've noticed occasionally the Rotkiels will lip lock with each other n then the greens lip lock each other. Never a Rotkiel n a green. I just didn't know since both pairs of fish were sold to me as " breeding" pairs.
