Would a blue acara work in a 6' long 125g tank with severums, clown loaches,
black skirt tetras and rosey barbs as well as a school of red tail rasboras?

Are blue acara mellow? will they go after some of the tetras or rasboras?

They're said to be one of the less aggressive cichlids. But as always it depends on each individual fish. I would try a mix like that and expect it to work if it were my tank.

I have seen a video on you tube where there have bred. dont know if eggs hatched though but that shows how compatible they are

Blue acaras make great tankmates for sev's ... just watch the rasboras. Blue acaras are more likely to snap up smaller fish, the black skirts and barbs should be big enough to be fine. If the redtails are aka brilliant rabsoras, their shape and size might make it a small risk.

pretty much perfect tankmates, had it work in my 125 for a good 3 years with no incident recently

blue acaras are pretty chill, i had one that would pick at my lungfish but it never bothered the other tankmates

Yes that fish will work in your tank/stock.
