Hi, I have two severums that I've had for about a year now but their growth seems to be very gradual. Maybe I'm not feeding enough or the correct type of food? Just wanted to hear from some severum owners regarding their feeding schedules. What do you guys feed your severums and how often? How is their growth on these diets?

Thanks!

I feed mine just about anything...mixed pellets, bloodworms, and a steady dose of veggie (romaine hearts, peeled and blanched peas). They grew from 1.5" to 7" fairly quickly (8 months perhaps), but then really slowed down.

Oh schedule - twice a day, 6 days a week.

Mine primarily eat hikari gold but I mix it up with krill blood worms and flake food. Peathenster growth rate is similar to what I have experienced. What temp is your tank and its size. This could also slow their growth. try to keep the temp around 78.

I feed mine pellets every day and frozen brine and bloodworms every other day. I also usually leave some zucchini in the tank and it disappears within 24 hours, I havent had mine long and they are all around 4-5 inches but they have been growing very fast.
