I have a 6' long 120G w lots of rocks and driftwood w no plants and pool filter sand substrate. Had a nice peaceful tank until i added 2 FM's(3-4") into a tank w

8" gold sev
5" green sev
4 loaches about 3-4"
schools of black skirt tetras(15 or so), rosey barbs(9-11) and red tail rasboras
8" Pleco

had to pull out a jurapari because fms were stressing him. I am suprised the gold severum is not easily king of the tank but the FM's seem to work in tandem. They also chase the loaches a bit but are leaving the schooling fish alone. Will the loaches and sevs be ok. The fish are not being hurt but how can I calm down the aggression. The FM's look great in the tank also.

God you would think this set up would be fine.... Have you tried to rearrange all of the structures in the tank? Try to set them up accordingly for the smaller guys on the bottom to be able to free rome the bottom.

I would pull the Firemouths out, they are a highly aggressive fish and also will easily get to 6" in that size tank, your tetras and barbs will soon start to dissapear. as large FM really enjoy small fish for food.

The loaches are typically bothered by aggression and will hide. I don't see a way of reducing aggression without removing fish.

I agree with Wiseman on this one, I'd pull the FM's. Or at least 1 of them. I've got a male & a female Severum (in different tanks) and each is equally good wtih all other fish. At different times I've had each in with......Tetras, fancy Plecs, Cory Cats, an African Knifefish, Gouramis, Clown Loaches...to name a few. The male is now in a 55 g with Cory Cats, 2 female Bettas, a male Guppy (of all things) and a Pearl Gourami, he ignores all of them. It can't be a coincidence that both my Sevs are that easy-going. So my bet is that yours will do excellent with Clown Loaches.
PS Mine are both between 14-18 months old, if that matters.
