This is a severum I saw on craigs list. The person who is selling them has no idea what they are. They told me they thought it was a jack dempsey cross. Ha ha!! I was thinking they kind of look like notatus to me but seem to have more blue in the face than my wild male. It is either notatus or green or turquoise. Let me know what you think.

I think your right. They are green severums. Looking at the pic and my male notatus they are definitely not the same. I was hoping as I really wanted to find a female notatus for my male. It is funny that they thought they were jack dempsey crosses though!!

They're efasciatus.

It's a shame everyone's looking for female notatus. I just gave my last four F1 females to the local LFS because no one wanted them. Bred them myself last year, they were 6" and great shape. :(

That's too bad Ryan. I definitely would have gotten a female from you had I known. I recently got a Atabapo female severum. You don't happen to have any male Atabapos or know where I could find one?

I do have about five Atabapos, but they're all adults and way too large for me to risk shipping. :( I have two pairs and a single (and giant) male.

If you ever have any fry I would love to have some! Notatus and Atabapo are my favorite severums. There is one severum from the Rio Tapajos that I would love to find but I do not believe there are any around right now.
