severum ID?

Hello :)

New to this site. Wondering if you guys could help me out on the ID of this severum? Not sure if it's too young still.

It's hard to say because a lot of young Heros look the same.

With the half-seventh bar, it could be H. severus or H. sp. Inirida. Both fish will show black spotting on the gills as fry and a half-seventh bar.

Once it starts to color up you'll have a better idea. You usually see that around 4" or so.

Ahhhh, interesting. Thank you! It was sold as a “wild caught green” and I’ve been trying to find a picture of what that may look like as an adult. Either way, I love severums so it doesn’t matter... was more curious than anything. I’m excited to watch them grow. :)
 
Update: I emailed the store where I got it to get more info and turns out it is H. severus :)
