Severum Tankmates?

I currently have a 55 gallon tank with one turquoise severum, one red spotted gold severum, 4 giant danios, and 3 tiger barbs...is there any room in this tank for a smaller pleco (such as a bistlenose or gold nugget) or possibly a group of smaller schooling fish to fill out the tank? I have two Biowheel 350's running on the tank and do 30% weekly water changes.

Dont know about how much space you have left but if you are just talking compatability Ive kept Angelfish and Dempseys with Sev's successfully. Dont try a Red Devil though lol trust me.

A red devil would be too much for the 55g anyway. Try the Ancistrus sp. or Panaque maccus.

Should be fine. Make sure you stick with a smaller one and not those 3 footers

small group of schoolers, like bleeding heart tetras would look nice, only down side is possible fin nipping

I'd say go with either a gold nugget or bristlenose pleco, or maybe a striped raphael catfish.

So you don't think I'd be overstocked adding one of those plecos. I'd like to get a gold nugget for the coloration it would add but am worried the bioload would be too much?

There shouldn't be an issue with bioload assuming good filtration and water changes

I dont see why you couldnt put a pleco in there.
But i wouldnt keep those fish in there long term.
Sevs get pretty big as well as the others.
