Just curious if there are many others who have severums in community tanks that are not cichlid and who their tankmates may be. Ive got one who was raised with a bunch of non aggressive fish and he does not get too bad at all.

severums are pretty laid back and will get along with alot of fish as long as the others aren't aggressive. i've had mine with geos, dats, a flagtail, plecos, bichirs, and an EBJD. the only time i had problems was when my sevs spawned and others got to close to their fry
They are good with a lot of fish...they are mild mannered but at the same time wont take any **** from more aggressive species.
I have one severum in a tank with breeding devils, a texas and silver dollars and his behavior sometimes seems quite bizzare to me (It is my first time keeping severums) But he sometimes allows himself to be bullied and then will sometimes be that aggressive that he will attempt to take on both my devils - im wondering weather or not to get another one in there with him - he sometimes seems all alone in the world - lol - but i am not sure if this is just in there nature??
I have kept them with rosy barbs no problem. bala sharks silver dollars rainbow sharks raphael cat syndontis lace cat, so many things to list. They are a good middle ground fish can be put in with peaceful or aggressive tanks.
