Severum

Captured a few nice photos of my severum and I was wondering if someone could tell me what type it is , also if possible male or female. Thanks.

i dont know about severums but usally with cichlids the longer anal fin and dorsal fin means male.

Nice looking sev. Judging by the marking on his gill plate, he is a guy. Not sure which type he is tho.

Not sure about what type of severum but that is a 100% male. Note the facial markings, the darker 'squiggles' on the cheeks, this indicates the fish is a male. Look at my avatar picture, that is my breding male golden sev. Hope this helps a little.

I'm not that sure BUT I think is a Heros efasciatus (Heckel, 1840)... that a nice one you have thou.. I have the same one but around 4"..((It's suffering now from a really bad case of Velvet!!))
