Hi i have a pair of severum they lay their eggs but they seem to disapear after 3-4days with no babies hatching what might be the reason why?

Gars and polys both are 12"+

I don't think the gar or poly would eat the eggs.. How big is your pair? I suspect that its their first time spawning.. just let nature take its course.. They'll get it right eventually.

Maybe they aren't comfortable with such huge tank mates around.. Do the sevs get aggressive when they spawn?

I have read that new spawning severums can eat eggs for the first 10 to 20 spawns before they get it right, also if the other fish stress them out they wil eat the eggs.
