Is the red head severum and the mouth brooding severum the same fish? The one i am thinking of has green base and beautiful red lines going down the length of the body. Thank you

Heros severus. There's also the H. sp. "Atabapo" that could be the same species.

"Red head" (or "red shoulder") is H. sp. "rotkeil". Some think it's a variant of H. efasciatus.

So how big do these guys get? Also is their temperament similar to the gold severum?

IME they are more aggressive than other Heros species, but the difference is subtle.

I think Atabapo are some of the neatest looking Sevs.

I'm pretty sure that all the severum species reach approximately the same size. I've never read of any significant difference among them, so you can expect at minimum 8 inches.
