I'm looking to stock a 55 gallon tank and need some advice on stocking. I'd like to have a super red severum as the centerpiece fish along with 4 angelfish. I'd like to fill it out with a couple rams and a group of tetras. Would these types of fish and quantities work in a tank of this size?

IMO, no. My red severum is about a 10" fish and thick. He'd be pretty miserable in a 55. If you want to keep them long-term I'd suggest at least a 75 or 90, but preferably a six foot tank like a 125. Then you could do a group of angels, a sev or two, and a bunch of smaller dithers.

X2...

That sounds like a group for a 90+
