I have 2 green sevs 2 red sevs 3 uarus 1 knife and 1 ornate poly. Do you think I can have a small school of tetras? Had anyone had tetras with these kind of chiclids successfully before?

My sev has done fine with lemon tetras and Odessa barbs. I don't have any experience with uaru, so I can't tell you about them. But I would be worried about your poly. If they can fit in his mouth there's a chance he will eat them.

He's still a wee tot. I know introducing soon fish to them at a small age decrease the chance of them being eaten

Heyyyyyyyy. we just spoke on Facebook moderately extensively :P

I'm going to re-say what I did there here, just for others to know. Your ornate will eat things as it grows older, simply because it can. Even if it grows up with them, the size difference is too great. Perhaps ask about it over in the bichir forum though, they probably know more.

Also, once you get one bichir, you will end up with many more, they are addicting lol

Hybrid are you in taps?

Yup, that's me you're thinking of, although I'd rather not real name myself here.

Also, larger tetras can work since your knife is an african knife, not a clown or really big ghost knife. Its just the bichir that will be the problem when it comes to smaller colorful fish. Thats how it was for me when I had an endli.

Hybrid I was thinking of Colombians or buenes aires. What are your thoughts?
