Fish store said he had some Banded Severums that were around 2.5-3 inches long fairly cheap as well as some yellow gold severums that were 3-4 inches long for 14.99. My question is what color do the Banded Severums turn as they get older? He said they werent green they were banded but would turn a slight greenish color as they get older.. Kinda confusing..Any help?

Again, that's the trouble with common names. Most severums will look the same as juveniles so at 2.5 - 3" they could be anything. My guess is that they're probably H. efasciatus, green severums. If they are tank-bred fish this is most likely what they are, coming from a fish store.
