severums or firemouths

ok planing out the stock for my new 58 gallon 36x21x18 tank i want to do eather severums or fire mouths and something for the bottom my question is how many of each would you all recomend and what should i do for dithers and bottom inhabitants thanks so much

I'd go with a pair of firemouths due to the smaller size

If it was a 4 ft tank you might be able to get away with a severum and a firemouth, if they weren't aggressive towards each other. But with only 3 ft of swimming room lengthwise I'd go with 1 or 2 firemouths.

ok thats what i w thinking and do you think a school of congo tetras maybe 6 of them would be ok with a bristle nose pleco or am i pushing my luck

Severums are generally more peaceful but would take up more space. Giant danios are great dithers.

sounds good, they are very attractive and much more than just plain giant danios or other typical fish used with cichlids
