Last Tuesday, i came home from work and found that my Severums laid eggs! First time for them. I figured they will eat it or others in the tank will eat it but today finally hatched. They are very very good at guarding the babies. I see alot of little tails waving. I think they are very good parents, will see if any of the babies survive... now, do you guys know which one is male and which one is female? I didn't see them lay eggs so i don't know which one is which. DSC_0516.JPGDSC_0514.JPGDSC_0521.JPG

Hard to tell from these pics...need clearer pics of the face. They are not hard to sex - males have facial markings, especially between the eggs, and females don't (just blue face).

Congrats!!

Thanks! I didin't move the eggs. Figured they will eat it but nope! I have some wigglers. Will see how long they can protect them from other tank mates.

Agree w peathenser. Also since you have eggs, the female will be the one to spend most time with them (fanning them) , while the male patrols the territory. She usually leaves the eggs only to go eat while the male takes care of em, then they switch places again.
