Have you tested your water?
Yes
If I did not test my water...
  1. ...I recognize that I will likely be asked to do a test, and that water tests are critical for solving freshwater health problems.
Do you do water changes?
Yes

Noticed one of my Severums acting weird a week ago. Hiding, twitching his fins when food is added, swimming head up, then another with some cloudy patches in his slime coat. Now a 3rd with a cloudy slime coat. The first was fish was a red spotted so hard to tell if his slime coat was cloudy.

Have been treating their food with Epsom salt per a Hexamita thread on this site. All are eating, just acting a bit strange. Other fish in the tank seem fine and no new fish have been added in a few months. Parameters are 0 ppm ammonia, 0 ppm Nitrite, 20-40 ppm Nitrate. 60-70% weekly water changes.

Any thoughts?

Maybe aggression. New fish? Other tankamtes? Something seems to be stressing it out. Would try and keep ur nitrates below 20ppm. What’s ur ph?

Ph is about 6.4. Acaras in the tank did lay a batch of eggs a few weeks ago, but that's pretty common. A pair of Severums were displaying mating behavior as well. I thought stress at first as well though the issue got better with one fish and has now spread to a few. Thinking about just doubling up on water changes and see how it goes.
