Hi I am new here, I have an issue in my tank and I'm not sure what is going on, I have a 150 gallon with sa/ca cichlids in it, and 5 african peacocks. All of my fish are young and small, total fish is 18, all around 2"-5". My water chemestry seems fine NO3- <20 ppm : NO2-0ppm : pH - 6.8-7.0 : KH - 40ppm : GH -180ppm. I got my first severum and he was fine had him for about a week with no problems. A week later I got a green sev and red shoulderd sev and added them. About a week later I started seeing what appeared to be air bubbles stuck to the green sev's body, so I thought ok, white specs this must be ich. I got the Mardel Coppersafe, cranked my temperature to 80 degrees F, and followed the directions and added the proper amount. It has been about a week and the white spots are gone...but now they are on the other 2 severums and not the green one. All of the other fish have no symptoms or spots, so what am I dealing with here? I would think ich would spread to all of the fish not just the severums?

tank inhabitants:
1" firemouth
2" Jaguar
2" convict
2" blue acara
3" jack dempsey x2
3" severum x3
5" nicaraguensis
4.5" peacock x5
5"-6" sailfin pleco
and last but not least 4" blood parrot x2

can you get a clearer pic? and ich will affect the more stressed out fish first since they are more vulnerable, also i wouldnt use a harsh copper med to get rid of ich, and if you said you cranked the temp to 80 then what do you have it at normally? i would regularly keep your temp at 80 and in order to get rid of ich the temp need to be raised to 85-86. as for meds i would only add salt, this is all i have ever had to do and it treats it nicely, pump up the temp and then add 1tsp per gallon salt per day for 3 days (normally i just do 2tsp per gallon but it looks like your case is worse than any i have had to deal with and you can safely go up to 3tsp/gallon) and leave salt in and temp up for 2 weeks, if you do a water change make sure to add back in warmer water to avoid a huge temp fluctuation and to add back in the salt removed with the water change GOOD LUCK

Looks like ich. The severum might have had it when you got it. Also you severum might be stressed lowering its immune system so its not fighting it off like the other might. Ich sucks, my baby oscar and convict have it but I'm treating with Coppersafe.

Ich does suck i treated my tank with coppersafe as well i have herd many good things about it working well. The directions i read said 1 fl. oz per 25 gallons...the bottles are 4 fl. oz each, so i used 1 and a half bottles for 150g tank. I turned the heater up to 80F i useually keep it closer to 78. My green sev got rid of the ich it looks like but my red shoulder got it, and so did my red spot. The red shoulder looks the worst, but none of the other fish have it? im not sure what to do, i dont have a hospital tank. Im beginning to wonder if its even ich, or some other type of fungus. Its been 2 weeks since i treated it, and the fish that looked like it had it doesnt, and the other 2 sevs looks like they have it, red-shoulder being the worst, which is in the pic i posted above. i tought ich would effect the other inhabitants in the tank as well not just the sevs
