Sevrums and Cichlids. Together?

Hi all! I am working on stocking my 300 gallon South American/Central American Cichlid tank. I have the opportunity to get some sevrums in the 5 to 7 inch range. Would those fish work in a Cichlid tank?

Severums are cichlids, i have mine with rotkiels sevs, red spotted, green sevs, uaru and geophagus.

Thank for the feedback. I guess they are cichlids too. I just never thought about that.

Yes, Severums are South American cichlids. Mine are in a 135 gallon with Angelfish, Bolivian Rams and some non cichlid fish. What other types of cichlids do you have?

My severum is with rainbowfish and a threadfin acara. He's kind of a little jerk, but so far no major damage. Just a lot of chasing and intimidation.

I have 2 rotkeils, a notatus, and a red-spotted sev together with larger paratherap/vieja cichlids

Nice x! I have a red and green also. My Red is beautiful, so is my green, but my red has become more dominant and out of respect my green has turned his color off Probably gotta move him.
