ok in my 75 my two 3 inch sevs are bein shy i just rehomed a bigger sev and a catfish that was gettn to big for his home i got a thin bar dat at 3'' they get along fine and eat good but my sevs got very shy should i add some dithers or no and if so what kind
TFB are a bit much for that tank, I'd stick with SDs or filament barbs if you can get some. I'd say giant danios but with a dat they might start disappearing; with sevs any schooling fish will do as they don't eat feeders (I'd probably stay away from tiny stuff like neons but even a school of serpaes or black neons would do fine).
RH Silver dollars would outgrow the 75 , straining the bio load and out competing the Sevs for food. I would try any small schooling fish the dat cannot swallow
Hi.. just a side note to some of the other posts.. In one night my 3 6 inch rescued sevs night stalked all my school of 30 fully grown rummynoses.. didn't expect it so happen so quickly or at all in a 120 gallon tank with lots of hiding places...... silly me... So just be aware that as they get bigger they may go after small fish and even if they don't eat them I've also heard of them eating heads off of some dithers... As always, sevs are cichlids and all have different personalities so this is just a heads up..Sue
