Sex and ID Please

I purchased this fish as a Red Texas which can mean a lot of things.
Can anybody identify the sex and what it is crossed with?

Guesses welcome.

it kind of look's like a red texas Xtrimac.?
 
I can see Trimac in him/her.

I got him at the LFS and for his size he is very aggressive.

Do you have any idea if it is male or female?
 
Well I have found out it is a male.
I have it in a 180 gal with a female Vieja Ufermani and he is now in breeding dress.
The entire bottom of his body is dark black and he is doing the tango with her.
She is about three times his size and doesn't seem responsive, but I appreciate his vigor. I will try and get a picture.
 
You've got a female fish. Although I don't know what it is crossed with the spot in the dorsal indicates female. Just because your fish went into breeding dress doesn't make it the opposite sex. I've had my fair share of lesbian fish. If I had to guess what it was I'd have to agree with loves severums and say texas x trimac.
