I have an 8 inch red texas. Can you sex these guys visually? If so how? If not I will vent the fish.

Males are usually bigger, & have longer dorsal & anal fins, females display a black blotch in the center of their dorsal fin, at least that's the case for the carpintis, not sure if the same applies for the hybrid version, if you posted some pics that might help
