bought a new GT..wanna know its gender.
and i have a oscar and pacu with it in the tank.
The oscar seems to be having a lot of problems with the GT, keeps chasing and has nipped GTs fins :(
HELP :(
any suggestion on how to make them stop fighting?

have you tried asking in other forums? i don't know much about that fish. do the females look exactly like that too?

That's a gold saum, not a Gt. They are frequently sold as GT's, but get much larger. Do a search on them. With O's, they all have their own personality. Sounds like you got a bully. He may eventually need his own tank.
 
a gold saum refers to the type of GT. A gold saum has gold/orange/reddish tinge to the ends of its dorsal and tail fins (like yours do). there is also a variation called White saum. white saum has white trims instead of red. It is possible to get a hump on the fish. weekly partial water changes, good filtration, varied quality diet and letting the GT have some dominance in the tank will help this greatly. the rest is up to his genetics.

Oh sorry, but i couldnt find a forum :/
so i posted in the other cichlid forum..
Tank is a 100 gallon.
i have 2 pacu, 1 oscar, 1 GT.
All three are of the SAME size..(All around 3 inches including tail)
Also 1 Hammerhead, and 2 small jewel.

I saw now that , all are pretty well adjusted,Oscar only kinda shoo's the GT away only when they bump into each other.
BUT, But...The GT and the Puny Jewels have bit the hell outta the hammerhead(fins), and now fighting with the pacu too(not much).
Arent they good tankmates?
 
Welcome and with additional questions, how big is your tank. And yes gold saums are commonly referred to as GT's. There's no reason to get into the saum vs true rivulatus right now:) and it looks male to me as well. In my experiences with oscars and green terrors the don't really care for each other. The oscars will bully the GT untill the terror is larger and more mature then the terror will kill the Oscar
