Thanks, I thought male but it's my first GT so I wasn't sure what to look for; is it the tail colour that indicates it?

Also his colours have really came on recently, he's about 2 inches just now if that

Looks male but the dorsal fin is rounded, you just have to let time go by and it should be easier to judge

Colors say male but dorsal fin, anal fin and head say female. At 2" and assuming his fins haven't been nipped, it's hard to say but I am guessing you have a fantastic looking female.

I'm still thinking male, the colourings just too good & the edging on the tail fin is already getting thick even though it's just starting to turn colour. As far as head, fin & body shape it does look female but it is still very young. Of course if it is a female it's definitely a looker.

I also meant to add to this, that I felt the GT's head has looked a little more elongated
