hey guys i was wondring what kind of F.H these are & the sex. also when do f.h start to mate how big and around what age these guys are at least 4in the smaller one is like 3in and the smaller one has black marks on the top fin

based on the face markings, i'm certain that the fish in the bottom right of the top picture is the same fish as those in the 2nd and 3rd pic. those are both ZZ red dragons, and they'll get a lot better i think as they get older... after about 5 inches mine started showing adult spangles and a bigger kok. i'm pretty sure you have a male/female pair there, and if you see any aggression, you might want to seperate them to prevent fin damage, as the fins can grow long.

your smaller one with black in the fin is definately a female, the others have that female look but can still be male koks may have just not poped yet....The only certain way to sex them without breeding them is to take them and LIGHTLY press on the belly between the front fins and the ass or "vent".... If its a male a clear fluid will squirt from him if not its female, this does not hurt the fish at all.... I do this with every flowerhorn I have and It never fails as long as the fish is 3 inch or more then this should work..

I'd say that right now they look to be a low to average quality but dont let that get you down grow them out keep them fed with good food and keep tank conditions nice, I have seen some of the ugliest fish turn into masterpieces with time and care...You can never really tell, only speculate but I'd say that at least one will turn out to be of decent quality...And I like your larger kok male, his fin pearls slightly resemble the red eagle breed

Thats a low grade ZZ, nothing kamfa about it.

They're all pretty low grade, but I like the way your male looks, its pretty neat to me.
