He looks like a Zhen Zhu male to me.. Here is a picture for further reference that can help you determine the sex of your FH...

The flowers, color and body shape suggest that it is a flowerhorn.. Trimacs do not have the same coloration and flowers...

P.S you did a good job by rescuing the little guy.. hang in there and he will become beautiful

it is a flowerhorn, BUT is has more of the trimac traits and features which means it's one of the first strains of fh.

thanks!!! i really felt bad for him.. he didnt have much color when i got him but he is starting to get a red belly and a yellowish face hope he turns out nice!!!
