i don't think any cichlid can live in a 10 gallon but i know guppys breed like crazy and there are some pretty cool lookin guppys, or maybe some dwarf gouramis. i don't know of much that can breed in a 10 gallon

neolamprologus multifasciatus is a tanganyika cichlid situable for a 10gal tank, it is the smalles cichlid known in the world and lives in shell in colonies and will breed like rabbits.

I agree with steve kribs are really nice looking, easy to sex, and pretty easy to breed. their aggression towards each other can be a problem, but once you have got a pair you will have lots of little kribs. they sell well, too
Neolamp. multifasciatus is a great (and close to the only) good choice, as they are tiny and really do breed fast and are a blast to watch.
I have a pair of Bichardi cichlids in a 10. They breed about every 2 months. I think they are cool looking not sure about freaky though
