I've had "it" for about 7 months. When I got it, it was about 2", now it's about 9". Eats great and shares a tank with a 8" red devil and a 5" jag. They have all been together since 2-3". I've always assumed it was a male but I would love to know for sure. I appreciate your input!IMG_1357.JPG

They are in a 240 right now. The Jag is growing extremely slow. I bought the Dovii and jag at the same time and he is half the size of the Dovii. I feel like the jag hasn't grown in the past 3 months. The RD and Dovii like to flex on each other quite often but never lock up or make contact so I guess that's a good sign so far

The jag is growing slow because he's/she's subdominant. Since it's a 240, you might be able to get away with it for a while, I've seen a member on here with a full grown dovii, jag, rtc, and midas in a 300, but once that dovii hits the 16"+ mark, you never know it it might just flip a switch and decide to go into kill mode. Then again, you could also get lucky. Good luck man, would love a full tank shot.

I appreciate all the info! And I will admit, I had my fingers crossed for a male. I can't wait until he starts getting some more color. I've noticed a big change in color in the last few months, maybe because he's become more dominate. He use to run from the RD but not anymore! I'll get a full pic for you all. Here's a pic of my RD just for fun.IMG_0916.JPG IMG_0916.JPG
