Sex my Dovii

This is another Dovii that I have. Please help with ID. It’s still very small

What is very small? What's the length?

It is 3.5 inches

Let it grow out a bit more to around 5-6". The larger it is the easier it is to sex.

Likely female. By this size you should be seeing spotting in the unpaired fins if it were male, females will stay clear. Also heavier spotting throughout the body (particularly above the lateral line) and my male growouts usually have more blue developing in the fins and jaws by now.

I have 2 dovii growing out and they are right about the size of yours right now, maybe a little larger ~4". From comparing mine to yours and being fairly certain I have a male and a female, I would also say that this one looks likely to be female. One of my fish(the male for sure) is showing spangling in the fins and more blue in the face, whereas the other one is lacking both features just like this one.
