Here are some pics of one of my Festae. I am thinking that this one is a male but I'd like to get other opinions to be sure. I'm looking to add a few more about its size, because it decimated its four Festae tankmates last week while I was at work

im going to say female cuz there really isnt many blue spangles on the fins or body thats what iv noticed when i have grown some out but still real young and it will go through changes as it matures..

This one has me so confused lol. I had another pair grow out and I just knew one was male and now that it grew out more it's clearly female lol. Guess I'll just have to wait and see

Going by the black in the dorsal fin in pic 2 I'd say male. I've never seen a female that didn't have black all the way to the front of the dorsal, the blue spangles and dark stripes can vary hugely depending on size, mood, dominance etc, but the black in the front half of the dorsal is a dead give away.
