i am new to flowerhorns this is my first..... do females have really long fins? mine had fins three times as long before they got nipped.

You typically see it on males but nowadays flowerhorns are so crossed that you can't used that as a means to sex them.

Its a female.
Venting is VERY stressful and should only be done by an experienced vet or keeper. If you have to ask what to look for then you probably shouldnt risk killing your fish. Take the replies as truth, your ZZ is a female.
