So these four are from Rapps.
I'm Horrible at eyeballing size but i got them from TUIC like 2 weeks ago as 3.5-4"ers so that's what i'm gonna say their size is.

Not all of these pics are the same fish, but if you can tell from any of these pictures what gender the fish is, i'll be able to figure out which of my fish it is.

Thanks,

Male male Female ? female ?

Need to see vent to be sure and I am not great and picking

Thanks guys.

Any idea when these guys may pair up?

Ususally with Parachromis, pairing occurs when both fish have reached the 6" mark (give or take). If you get them all the same size, the male will hit 6" first (obviously). Regardless, whenever the smaller of the two reaches 6" or so, they'll be physically ready to spawn. Whether or not your particular fishes will get on well enough to spawn is mostly up to them. It looks like you've got some of both males and females though. Good luck.

So even though i have four of them, there may not be a pair?

Thanks for your help.

What made you decide on freddies? just curious

Well, i was stuck between them and the Roberstoni and then i saw this picture of a Freddy on another forum.

As you can see, that made up my mind pretty quick

Yeah, just because you have a male and female of the same species doesn't guarantee a pair. They may not like each other. Sometimes it takes a long time to form a bond. My loiselli female took a long time to warm up to a mate even with two males to choose from. Then again, I've had a jag breed before I even thought she was big/old enough. It really depends on the individual fish. With that said, you're pretty much doing all you can do if you're hoping for a breeding pair. Good luck and let us know how it goes. They look nice.

***EDITED TO ADD***
What are your plans for the fry if they come? I could use some. Keep me in mind should you have some and decide to sell them.

Thank you.

And as for the fry, when/if they lay eggs, i will see if anyone wants any, if not they'll be feeders. I'll be sure to keep you posted.
