These guys are only 2-2.25 inches. Please sex if you can at this size.

typically what differs between males and females? and how old will they be when it is easier to tell.

1st one I'd guess as female, 2nd as male.

Hard to tell at this size but that's my vote.

The one with the black spot in the side is slightly larger than the one with the horzintal black line.

I raised hundreds of GT fry and can tell you they are too small to sex. Color means nothing at that size as dominant females can look as bright as males.

too small.. whenthey get largers males will start to develop a nuchal hump and the dorsal and anal fins will gennerally me longer and more pointed.
