He's changing from his juvie outfit to his adult outfit, and in about a month he will look twice as good as now (not that he doesn't look good now)

Ps. The dorsal and anal fins give it away for the most part. When it has long pointy fins, it's 95% certain to be a male.
A female will have much rounder fins, and way less coloration

Actually you can't go by the fin trailers. Yes males have longer fins but not all the time. Plus Gt females have a blue beard like the female dempsey's. That GT in the pic looks more like a female than male. Females have more of a round body than the males.
I don't want to vent him/her yet...I just got her at an auction 2 days ago and its still pretty stressed out.
