Just wanted to get conformation if this is a female or male. From reading all the sex jag threads it seems like a female. Just want to make sure with the pros here. Here's me pics

It is a really nice Jaguar cichclid. This black girls and one is not. Normal male body pattern. How to get along with Oscar? Together, not by trying to keep parachromis and Oscar.

Would be a little easier to say with a pic showing the full side of the fish, but I'd still say 99.9% female because of the dark spots fading below the black lateral line

Looks female because of the brown spots under the eyes. Males have black spots in my experience.

Thanks all for the clarification. Was thinking about getting a male and breeding it but not in my 240 gallon. It would probably lay waste to everything that's in my tank 2 tiger Oscars, 2 flagtails, 3 geos and 6 tinfoil barbs.

If I was to find a male dovii would a 100 gallon all alone for the 2 of them be enough space? Would I need a divider for the tank?

Also all of sudden my jag is starting to open its jaw at my tiger Oscars. Before it would be afraid and my little Oscar would be the king of the tank. Now, she seems to stand up to the 2 Oscars. I haven't seem them lip lock yet. Just open they're jaws at each other. Wonder if she is going to lay eggs soon?

She may just be starting to do what most Jags do and that's be aggressive towards most other fish. A hundred gallon would not be enough space for her and a male dovii
