sex my jag

i don't know if it's possible to sex this jag i've never had one before, it was the most aggressive one out out of about 6 that my LFS had, I'm hoping it's a male, it's about 3.5" maybe 4"

Looks male, I think I see more blue up on the fin, and the black dots. Not 100 percent though

This one is a toss up for me....the body pattern seems female..the body proportions seem male... at 4 inches or less as you put...it still has some maturing and developing to do so its hard(for me) to tell...

I going to lean towards male.... in looking again i see much pattern in the dorsal and caudal fin like a male......

What's good is that everyone has an obvious 50/50 chance of being right... bottom line is that yours is still too young to tell for sure....
