Here it is. I've had it for about three months. It is about 5-6" long. The markings under the eye are usually pretty light and the vertical lines are not really breaking up so I am thinking female. What do you guys think?

That would be great guys! Thanks for your input. I have it in with an Oscar, that he is quickly catching up with in size, and a few others and may have to relocate him to another 125 before it starts eating everyone.

I am going out the box. looks like a female to me. the banding and fin say female, he/she showing allot of gold/copper? I have been wrong before and will be again. beautiful fish ether way.

Yeah, the fish is usually a lot lighter than in this photo and the markings are usually a lot more pale. Definitely shows a lot of copper coloring

males tend to have a more mosaic pattern, depending on there origin. any ideal of age?

I've had this fish for about three months and it was about three inches then. Not sure how long it takes for a Jaguar to get to the 3" mark but whatever time that takes +3 months. I am guessing around 7 or 8 months old, if not older, but I am no expert
