Alright,if you can remember i made a thread acouple of months ago about the sex of my jaguars, and the result was mixed and i was told to repost acouple of months after to get a better verdict.

Also what jag does look the best out of the 2? i dont want to keep both only the best one.

so here they are, they are around 7-8". Their colours and patterns has changed alot recently and one (jag1)is digging a pit:confused:

how can you tell there male and female.
mixed result on which to keep up to now

15+ year experince with the species. both are easy sexer's, female has the lighter completion and female body shape, head shape / markings. and the male has typical marking and stripeing, aswell as the absoultly postive body shape.

males get bigger- 14'"-16" where as females are very lucky to get 13-14"".

Thanks, yeah i knew how big they get.....
do you still say keep the male? the female has better colour on fins but adult females usually dont look as nice as males.
How much trouble would a young pair like these cause in a community?
its a 120 gallon with a pair of JD, GT, RT and salvini.
i have herd they kick the crap out of everything when breeding but they have always been adults like 10"+
thanks dave

they are known to be very agro when breeding, if you plan to keep anything with a BP of jaguars, makes sure it's a 6-8' tank, and very few cichlids, that are large enough to hold there own, as they will be fought.

uhh wat is tht oarnge fish?
