Hello everyone, I needed help sexing my two Jaguar cichlids and my Dovii. I believe both Jags are male, but could be wrong. I have no clue what Dovii is though.

I'd say Male on the first. The second is tough because of the rough condition it's in. But could just be a submissive Male. What's the size/ stock of this tank? I see jags, buttikoferi, flowerhorn? And what else? Just curious.

And as for the dovii, the pic isn't the best. But I'm gonna stab and say, Female.

Jags both males. The second looks skinny and stressed.

Dovii doesn't look to have spangling in unpaired fins so would be female, but pic is def not super clear

Thanks for the reply. The tank is a 125, the 2nd Jag has been moved to another tank. The 125 has the 1st Jag, a flowerhorn, and two Buttikoferi. So far so good, but several fish will probably end up in different tanks over time. The FH, the 2nd Jag, and the two Buttikoferi have been together for about 10 months with very little issues. When I added the new Jag (the one in the 1st pics ) the original Jag started getting picked on by all the others. I will try to get a better picture of the Dovii. I am hoping for some males, but the 1st jag and the Dovii were free so I am happy regardless of sex.

The weird thing about the 2nd Jag is that he looks more beat up now every since the 1st jag was added, but before that he had his own territory, but his stomach always looked like that. I got him for $10 about 10 months ago. He eats well, but always had that weird shape to him unlike the new one. I don't know if he is just genetically deformed or what. I've tried several different foods and he still hasn't changed. His color was better before the other Jag was added, but he/she was never as good looking as the new one. For now I have the old Jag in a tank with the Dovii, and two Oscars. So far that arrangement seems to be working out. The Jag is the biggest fish, but the Dovii is the most aggressive as of now. It has only been a few days, so I will see how to turns out.
