Male on the top and if the bottom ends up female, Dammmn!! Those freckles are just stupid!!

Thank you guys for responding. I appreciate the opinions. This isn't one if those threads where anyone's gonna get ripped on for being wrong. The magx I've had have been giving me all kinda if trouble trying to sex. And from my expirience with other umbees coloring up and pairing out around 3.5-4.5" I expected the same with these guys... Well, so far I've been wrong:/ these guys don't start coloring up until 5.5-7" and haven't started pairing out yet! Which I've come to a possible conclusion of that these magx could end up being a larger umbee than the rio mags in the hobby overall. But that won't be determined until later obviously but just my opinion.
Again I thank anyone and everyone who participates in this thread. But if you all could also explain why you think it's a male it female, body form, color, freckles, etc I'd really appreciate it. Thank you.

Damn!!! Jason I can not tell you male or female all I can say is damn either way. I wanna say you've got a male based on everything except the dorsal but that messes with it all. I have not seen any aggression or pairing action with mine from you either.

Lol exactly what I was thinking Forrest. I'm impressed with how the magnumx are turning out:) I have vented these two so yes I know what they are. But if these were in any other tank, I would be in everyone else's shoes lol

WOW! the black on the dorsal tells me female but they look MALE. I'm gonna say both female! My general female has a BIG hump when she spawns so maybe that general blood is giving females DAT BIG HUMP!!!

Well sir, you are 100% correct!!!! they are both females and when i vented i had my fingers crossed lol fortunately the ones i vented female and added to my males tank are in fact turning out to be females. Talk about relief:nilly: But ive gotta tell you that no matter how many umbees ive sexed or grown out, i still get stumped from time to time:) So here is a couple pics. the first is obviously female and she is in the first pic of umbees in question. the bottom pic is Future, my keeper male. He is the only male to have started showing any colors yet. so im gonna work those two females with this male to get a nice pair formed. the funny thing is the last few days, my male has been displaying wierd colors, almost back to nothing with a yellow/green sheen:/ so this weekend im gonna put these three into a three way divider while im gone on vacation. this way i can guaranty their individual safety and possibly help aid pairing and color:)
