midas is really hard to tell unless you vent. in other words, if it lays eggs its a female, if it doesnt well then either its not a female or you dont have a male with it. damn im not alot of help, but then again you wont get a whole lot of help from anyone exept people that guess. there are other ways to tell, like the way it acts around another fish of close species, that you know for certain the sex of. other than that learn how to vent it or buy 2 more and hope you get a pair, then you'll know which one is a female cause it will lay eggs.
