That's not a Festae in the vid and in the first two pics. It's a Mayan. The other one in the 3rd pic is indeed a true festae. Nice looking RTN, and rthe others looked good too.

wow now i have to google mayan

yea def is a mayan... mann i hate mis labled fishies

This is an extremely common occurence, there are many threads on various fish boards devoted to this topic, so don't feel bad, you're not the first one to get burned. Mayans don't get nearly as bright as female Festaes, but they can get some color, here is mine a few months back.

I might be jumping to conclusions, but the mota looks to be a hybrid. Mota x Loiselli possibly. Female
As stated, first few pics are of mayan, smaller fish is pure festae. Too young for sexing.

was it labeled as festae or red terror? Its 100% uropthalmus but they are both commonly sold as red terrors. The real festae looks to be female but not positive. Usually the males do not show that much red. They are really easy to sex when bigger. Males are ugly, females have nice reds, I think you got lucky. Not sure on the mota, probably going to have to vent that one.

I think the motaguense is a female. It looks to be really well fed.

Also, the first fish is a urophthalmus, as the others have stated.
