Just got this guy. Well... my family did (I'm in China, but I'll be home in July). I just couldnt pass up on him. I got it from snook21. (P.S. I asked the fam to take care of that algae..haha)

Males have way more speckiling on body. the area between pectoral fins & anal fin is smooth,females have an indentation(true in most cichlids). Not always the case but often male dorsal & anal fins have extend tassle like flow or end in a sharp point(always if not flowing), females are round provided there is no fin damage to specimen in question. Ask Jim or Mike to show you if you're still not sure.
