I think it's a girls because it has two wholes one larger than the other and her tail fin come to a point. I'm not sure though, and I know there are people on this site with much more experience than I.
so is it a she or a he.

this one is for the experts please.

sorry,
for some reason my photos wouldn't upload into the question.
If you go to my gallery you will find a picture of the anal fin, vents, and whole fish.

also if any of you have a clue how i can insert the photos into my post above, that advice could also be useful.
thanks again.

Load them as attachments.

The vent pic to me is only thumbnail size, and I don't know how to view it otherwise, but oscars are not sexually dimorphic; they do not show outward physical sexual differences. I would trust a professional breeder to vent-sex an oscar, but I put faith in the old "the one with the eggs tumbling out of it is a female" theory.

I had a pair of oscars that I assumed to be male/female. Early on, I had my red pegged as male and she surprised me by laying thousands upon thousands of eggs. Pretty soon after, her mate, who had completely different physical characteristics laid her own batch of eggs.

Even if you take into account that you really can't tell, you can't help but assume you know who's got what. And then they keep surprising you.

If she lays eggs, you'll know for sure. LOL BTW, mine took almost 3 years to lay eggs despite any typical nesting behavior, e.g. digging, waving, etc. With two oscars and having a 50% chance of being right guessing the sex, my guessing outcome was still 0-2. LOL
