I have 2 sajica from rapps that I'm growing out. But i need to make space. I think I have m/f but both have mark on dorsal fin. I want to make sure of their sex bc no need for 2 females thanks
First two pics of supposed male
Other two of female

Top male bottom female
Thanks for clarifying Dan. See how top one has black mark on dorsal fin as well is it normal for males as well?

Yea my male has it where the bar extends in to the dorsal fin, female have a blob as such on top of the bar

Sweet thanks

Glad you posted this. I have 4 sajicas from Rapps and going of what you guys are saying, it looks to be that I have 3 males and 1 female. Oh boy. Will have to watch for that. I'll probably see if any pair up with the female and than either put the other 2 males in my other tank or will just sell them. At what size do these fish usually pair up at?

Mine from Rapps paired up pretty quickly - be careful with the girl - if the male is ready to breed and she is not or just did, he can really wear her out

That's awesome that we all have some sajicas from rapps. My male chases my female around but no real harm they stay in separate sides of tank. Do you have any pics you can share with us if your pair ?

ya i have a few pics of them now i can put up. I'll keep a close eye on them and see if they pair and will share the pics of the pair then as well. The possible female really has just been doing her own thing for the most part not being hassled all too much as of now.
