Based on his vibrant colours, I would say male. How big is he/she?

It does have vibrant color, but I won't be 100% certain it is a male. I raised many batches of GT, and I don't know how many times a vibrant fish I thought was a male dropped an egg tube. GT have no external sexual differences and vibrant color alone is not sufficient to sex GT until they reach sexual maturity size of about 4 inch.

I was alway under the impression the nuchal hump was a dead giveaway for a male, no?, the pictures dont show it as well but in person its a little more clear, the first picture kind of looks like the start of one i thought ... its a solid 3 inches without the tail

Yes, it is. But the hump comes too late to be useful as the fish are already quite big and have reached sexual maturity when other gender clues, like color, size and reproductive tube become obvious. A big hump is definitely a male, but some poor quality males never develop a hump any bigger than an old female.
