Sex my tex

So I rescued this texas from a hand in tank in the lfs the other week. It was in with a jag that had beat on it a fair bit and it's also pretty skinny (fattening up now though).

I initially thought it was female due to the dark markings on it's dorsal but once it came out of it's shell it's become absolutely besotted with my female parrot. It's always with the parrot, shimmying, swimming round her and basically showing general breeding behaviour. It's breeding tube seems to be thin and pointed.

What do you think? It's about 4".

Yeah even though he's got a dodgy eye, he's still cool. He has character.

He's a little male and that eye should heal up.

Glad you were able to rescue this guy, that tank they had him in was tiny; would have done the same if i could!

I don't see black on the dorsal so it appears male to me as well
