Ok thanks! I added the male with a divider and it was amazing how quickly she started getting the reds and blues

I would put some gravel in there....less stress. They are a skittish fish to begin with. I would agree with Madness first a female and the other a male. Although it can be tough when stressed. I have a sub dominate female that will look pretty good but other times looks like a male. Looks like small tanks, I would add gravel places to hide and give them time....lots of time and they will shine eventually, given proper care.
 
Well I'm getting a 225 tomorrow. The female is not skittish I say there and watched her for 30 mins last night and she would continuously come up to the glass and flare her gills at me. I will add some substrate though, thanks for the advice
